Pessimiser Records was a label based in Inglewood with connections to Hermosa Beach that released punk, hardcore, crust, grind, thrash and metal bands. Pessimiser started as an underground zine by Chris Elder and grew into a label with the help of Marc Theo from Alternative Groove and Theologian Records. The label released the infamous "Cry Now, Cry Later" 7" compilations and other records by bands like Spazz, Hirax, Dystopia, Crom, Despise You, Man Is The Bastard, Grief, Phobia, 16, EyeHateGod, Excrutiating Terror, Divisia, Unruh, Los Crudos, Lack of Interest, Charles Bronson and Detestation, among others.
