Either/Or Bookstore was an iconic bookstore in Hermosa Beach from the mid-60's to the late 90's. The bookstore represented the intellectual, artsy, outcast and weirdo elements of the South Bay. Everyone remembers the black cat that always slept on the magazines by the entrance. Authors like Charles Bukowski and Thomas Pynchon used to hang out at Either/Or as did local bands like Black Flag and artists like Raymond Pettibon.
